Douglas Taurel

Taurel has worked on many of New York’s TV dramas like Mr. Robot, Blue Bloods, The Americans, The Following, Damages and Nurse Jackie to name a few.  In the indie world he has appeared in numerous films, including The Cobbler (starring Adam Sandler and Dustin Hoffman directed by Tom McCarthy), Into the Valley (release date 2018), Delivery at the HBO Latin Films Festival and the upcoming The Kindergarten Teacher (starring Maggie Gyllenhall and directed by Sara Conlangelo).  He is also the recurring voice in the upcoming popular video game Red Redemption.

Taurel is the proud son of hispanic parents and has lived and studied in South American. Taurel speaks Spanish fluently. Taking on huge challenges has always been in his DNA. He boxed in college, have run two marathons (New York, Philadelphia), and ran with the bulls in Spain and climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2012.

He is currently writing a web-series for Thomas Edison State University to depict the challenges veterans have when coming home from combat and leaving the military.  It is scheduled to begin shooting in 2018.  Taurel has also been hired to perform his solo show at the Citadel, Library of Congress and Union Performing Arts Center in 2018.

The foundation of my acting training was studying with my mentors Wynn Handman and Tim Phillips.  He currently lives in Hoboken, New Jersey with his wife and two children. .
